Season 2008 /09 New Managers & Players
**NEW** Cheltenham Saracens are a very ambitous club, they currently run 4 Senior Saturday sides and are looking to possibly run a 5th in Season 2008/09 (application to Cheltenham League yet to be confirmed). They currently have a vacancy for a 3rd team manager/coach and possibly a 5th team one, if the application is accepted, for next season. We are looking for someone who is equally enthusiastic about football and can help develop Saracens Football Club. If you are interested, please contact Gerry Oldham on 07985663648.
We are always on the look-out for new players, especially for next season. Remember, Saracens are currently the only Cheltenham based Hellenic League side and Glos. County Youth League side. The Club are also actively seeking Sponsors due to the ever increasing cost of providing the highest quality football opportunities
for Cheltenham's footballing community and to meet the Club's ambitions.
We are the only locally based Hellenic League team and Sponsors will benefit from advertising around the ground and on the Web Site.

Formed in 1964 as part of a multi-sport club, they joined the cheltenham league division 5. Gradually the section grew in strength and was soon running two sides in the cheltenham league, two in the stroud & district, two sunday teams and several youth teams. In 1986 the club was elected to the hellenic league and stayed in division 1 until they were promted to the premier division in 1999/2000, with the 2nd team also winning the reserve section. After two years in the premier the team were relegated back to division 1 in 2001/2002.
The club has now a strong base to move forward with four snr teams on saturdays an 11 junior team ages 6-18.
With the improvements to St Peters Ground now completed the club is now looking to move forward and hope for promotion to the premier division.
The club has established a link with the University of Gloucestershire as their community club and are able to use the facilities of their sports grounds. In addition football scholarships are available for outstanding young players.
